Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

morale is so low

I have seen posts complaining about morale in the company in the past but last few months its been really everywhere in the company : people still in jobs of.reinvent, promotions barely existing, lack of accountability of leadership, share price, lay offs.

The issue is the perspective if the chairman will not help the mood for next 6 months. I feel like next 6 months will be the final coup : more people will resign.

My replacement in Pune was in a panic my last week bc of how little handoff and training they had.. i even asked my Line Manager about doing more training and they didnt want us interacting alone with them. It was bizarre. Why keep on board for 7 months if not to train them?

@j9+1k2jkz7dd you nailed it, "MoCs being demanded" by those so called leaders when those same have no resources lined up to MoC to. And these jokers will be rewarded for this with both hands. Especially true in US. Shame!

Most of those leaving at the end of Sept don’t have anyone to hand to, as the recruitment of offshore resource has been slow. There is no operational model or insight of the handover of responsibility, let alone an employed person in Pune to accept the MOC. I fear there will be a mountain of stranded activities. Leaders are moving to new roles with no understanding of who does what. Yet MOCs are being demanded ASAP 🤯

That was the craziest meeting I cannot believe they had that many people getting off mute saying "I don't know who I'm MoCing to." I knew our org was inept .. but just to watch them bungle it so hard. People spent months in limbo and we still don't have a firm org re design. Technology is a perfect example of bps ability to be a massive company and have no structure, systems, etc while pretending it does. The BTCs are going to be a cluster and it's the leftover onshore people who are gonna pick up the slack.

The fool (so called leader) in Houston called the IT huddle last week showing frustration over MoC taking longer or not even started in a lot of areas. We'll, Mr. Fool, nether you nor your so called leader buddies including your VP has done a good job in the selection and change management process. It is you guys who should be thrown out for job poorly done. But that wont happen since you all are narcissistic, privileged, and protected pardoned by your own bosses. Shame you guys.
