Astec Roadtec not looking good due to large layoff in July 2025. Both hourly and salaried affected.

@b2 Very true, but some had been there for years. This is a managerial failure and has been for some time.
You get that when you hire people off the street with zero experience in manufacturing or mechanics. They don't hire certified mechanics but still expect to build million dollar machinery. Ive always heard, Good help isn't cheap, and cheap help isn't good. This is a prime example.
The way the company has went corporate The company as a whole is very top heavy jobs that has never been there before when it was a profitable company is eating away at the profits The quality of the work has gone down tremendously
