Day 1 of 5 tomorrow. 8 hrs per day, 40 hrs per week. M-F. Don't FORGET ABOUT IT! See you in the office, slackers.

I've stuck being less productive with RTO since 2021, five days a week while other teamsters get to be remote. Where you all've been?
@kc Use PTO? lol that's funny. Dell oy gives me 3 weeks of PTO a year, but that doesn't matter because every time I put in a repeat to use it the request is either denied or put on a wait list until the end of time.
First day?
That’s cute.
RTO day 3 of 5 for the week. Remember no sneaking out to do errands or the neighbors wife on the company dime. Use PTO.
Speak Up and report those ethics violations.
Yeah, because a lot of people in field and professional services are spread around the country, because they are/were customer facing. Dell use to have a field office in just about every decent sized metro, and during the pandemic they closed them all. Look at the list of offices that still exist, it's pretty small. So it makes sense those people are still remote.
That's why this blanket policy doesn't make sense. We're a huge company, and RTO makes sense for certain orgs/teams, and absolutely no sense for others. My closest colleague is two time zones away, and my team is spread around the globe, yet I'm in an office five days a week to sit in a cube by myself, working on zoom and teams.
Most people didn't RTO a year ago. There's than army of people in "Field Services" that retained remote status

Yeah, and then they go home by 11:30am... Then those offices are ghost towns because why be in office when your virtual TEAMS meetings are... Still VIRTUAL? You know, the meetings you can literally have on your phone in a car, or better yet.. in the comfort of your home?
Very very few teams have all or even most of their team located at the same office. Maybe 6+ years ago that was the case but, not anymore. Dell hired globally and my team specifically is 99% remote. I go into the office (not rn because I have a medical exemption) but, only ONE person on my team goes to my office. The other 2 that were forced to go in both live in different states.
So, what is the point going into office when your whole team is spread around the country and/or world? Meetings are still virtual anyways. There is zero point in going into office for more than an hour or so before going home again.
Spoken like true Dell su-k as--s
What location are you at because most people had to RTO like a year ago.
@b1 There's no managers in tbe office I work in. Probably why I question my life choices for 2-3 hours then go home to finish my shift.
Last time I went to the office, the managers were overwhelmed and they looked miserable.
I'll keep working from home.
same here...
I went to office 5 days a week for 8 hrs a day.
My role was made redundant. Go figure...
@OP you are correct, the overwhelming majority of those you will see in the office are slackers. They'll be shooting the sh-t by the water cooler and/or playing pool in the game room while those of us that WFH get all the work done.
No thanks I’ll avoid that toxic environment at all costs.
Nope. You won't be seeing me anywhere near an office, tomorrow or any other day, bootlicker.
Nope
