They fired how many managers in June? And now there is a position open for a MANAGER!

The people who are left here have no support, left treading water, procedures change daily and are communicated by word-of-mouth. The “care” has been beaten out of me.

@37t

Right because we all know JW didn't "retire" last December. She was most likely let go and replaced by AH.

5% of global workforce on 9/9 plus multiple days of demotions and title leveling. Expect to see multiple notifications of “retirements”effective in December as a few SVP‘s that were laid off are staying through to finish out the year. Also multiple retirement announcements coming effective March of next year to allow for bonus collection. Most admin positions have been eliminated. In general, very poor communication and only generic talking points about the reason for the new organizational structure.

I wonder why they're so quiet about the layoffs this time around.

Was it all corporate functions, all levels? Just those from the acquired brands?

This is a sneaky move by Hyatt to avoid further backlash after the last 2 mass layoffs. From the moment B. Stoner was promoted and was all about the numbers, I knew multiple layoffs were coming. As soon as A. Hernandez replaced Jessica White, I knew I didn't like this guy and that he was going to do away with the Americas Call centers. Don't be surprised if they do another layoff right before or immediately after the holidays .

@f2 Same! I was in HQ too. Early morning one-one with leader along with HR was enough for me to understand that I am out

Everyone seems to be finding out about who's impacted through word of mouth or personal LinkedIn posts. There has been no communication to the field, and many of these people work directly with those in the field. It's sad and honestly disrespectful to all those impacted. I'm very sorry to all those who lost their jobs.

I'm sorry to those who were laid off. This one seems to have been kept very quiet by Hyatt, I am just finding out today.

Corp email the night before, then dept head scheduled meeting with HR for 10am the next morning. Sure enough, I got the axe yesterday. HQ office.

I was just recently seeing online how much of a struggle the job market was, and was grateful I did not need to get involved. Egg on my face on that one.

I'm so sorry to those laid off today. I was nervous all day, but seem to have survived this time. I worked closely with Trisept and Amstar. I have only seen one person on LinkedIn mention their layoff from ALG
