Thread regarding BD (Becton Dickinson & Co.) layoffs

BD Excellence

What is up with this next shift in culture? Lot of kaizen and continuous improvement talk within all processes including new product development and commercial. I also see it as a trend across the industry. Who is popularizing this trend in MedTech? Is it some big consulting group like McKinsey or BCG?

Is this just a response for how bad BD is doing financially, and a ruse for financial stakeholders to believe BD is changing?

@84d

I have never seen such a poor leadership in my experience. Low IQ and high corruption get you a promotion in BD. Do you know most VPs in BD runs kickback scheme with vendors like Capgemini, HCL?

It’s all BS. This sh-t worked in Japan because their culture is naturally conducive to collaborate for the greater good. This garbage always fails miserably at every company it has been rolled out. It’s just entertainment and creation of fake jobs to manage it. lol.

BD should stop talking and start acting. The leadership is pathetic. Any useless hanger-on must be thrown out without hesitation.

  • BD and Excellence* should not be used in the same sentence. BD stands for Bad Decisions.

With the current team in place, BD will never change. Unless 80% of the leadership is replaced, nothing will improve.

BD hired a few people to run an internal campaign to make it look like everything is on track, but deep down they know nothing is going well—and you can see the fear in their eyes. I just wish we had a truly effective CEO.
