Enterprise Clinical Services. We received an email back in May to do them as usual, no big deal. Yesterday multiple teams received an email to do them again and to tell everyone to update their Career Stories by July 11. I don’t want to create false panic but it’s making me a little nervous since there are rumors here of layoffs in the next few weeks. I’m too low in the totem pole to have any visibility and I don’t have any direct reports. Any insight?

OP here. The manager of my direct manager sent out an email to all of us, about 150 or so informing us of MyPath. Specifically about completing a profile to “allow internal resources to have visibility of our capabilities and interests for additional career opportunities.“
In isolation, I wouldn’t think much of it. But in the context of rumored layoffs, RTOs…
Received a similar email today to update by July 16. And if you are a leader- must have succession planning completed.
But Optum is still hiring look at the post on the job board even for internal
@b0 they definitely haven't. A lot of teams working on AI stuff right now are struggling to produce high quality results. Without those results, the solution won't get approved by the governing panels of lawyers. Even with those results, it takes months and months to be seen by the panel.
Optum is advertising that they have redone the whole revenue cycle with AI. I sure most won’t be needed soon.
I was told to update my career story two weeks and then got re-orged. They knew it was happening and told me last minute.
Are the rumors specifically for Enterprise Clinical Services? Wouldn’t surprise me, there’s one department I know of that has not had enough work and some others that are sending work to Philippines. Wouldn’t worry about career stories as they are all about numbers
