RTO will disrupt second job

Are any of you not coming in because it will disrupt your second job? I have Webex calls with my other job during the week that I can’t do in the office. Is there any advice for how to get around this? If I have to come in I am considering booking space away from others and hotspotting to my phone while I take the calls.

@vz Someone is mad that no one wants to over employ them. Have fun being poor when AI takes over.

CWA hasn’t said anything about RTO. There are supposed to be to give us 6 months notice. I’m a ny call center representative.

This is really going to throw off my real estate gig I picked up on a side during Covid. If we go to 5 days there’s no way I can continue doing both. So unfair.

Be Careful, you might be addressing a VP or higher. They'll come down on your director if you go to Ethics over a real problem (ask me how I know...)

Join the union and then you can do both jobs from McDolanlds while eating your 3rd lunch.

It hasn't so far. However the other job is still 100% WFH. If that goes to some type of RTO then I'll have a bit of a problem.

OK, buffoon. How many did you verify to arrive at a total of "tons"? Gotta be several dozen at least, right? I'm gonna need you to go ahead and show your work.

Happy now that the point is clear enough for even you to comprehend? No more hiding behind semantics...

I don’t see anywhere in these post that says people in the office are 100% focused on work . Everyone knows that is not true. What is true is they want you back in the offices and you all are whining like little kids. Put your big boy pants on and go to work. Stand around all day and do nothing, who cares.

No, no, no. Don't you understand?

Everybody in an office is totally 100% focused on doing hard work 100% of the time.

Remote workers are 100% busy watching cartoons, running to Costco, and napping.

Anything even slightly more nuanced will cause some posters brains to break.

@cq when I worked in the office people would leave to go out to have breakfast, go out to smoke on the half hour, I guess that may be vaping now, take extended lunch hours, have visitors at their desk laughing and joking...the list goes on and on. Complaints were made, and nothing was said. This led to morale issues due to the manager not addressing the issues.

@ad You act like those types of employees worked when they were at the office. WFH doesn't change who works and who doesn't. It just makes the people who work and have always worked more productive. The ones that don't work are noise, and whether they are in the office or at home they will be doing little to nothing, with no difference. Don't act like, oh now they will get caught. No they won't, they weren't working before when we were in the office. All it does is make the productive people less productive. But I do agree with: It is what it is, no point in whining about it. It is a job if they want to pay us to be less productive, whatever.

I'm an RMCC collector and I'm also an OnlyF-ns model. I make 92000 at vz a year and 2.4 million at OF. so, yes, RTO would hurt me financially.. what would I do then? Take 72 bathroom breaks for my fans every day at work? Preposterous!!

I think you should proceed as you suggest.
Everything will be good. Say it's a vendor meet or something. That's what I do.

You've checked with them all? Either you did which means you don't have enough of your own work, or you didn't and are talking out of your farthole.

Either one makes you look like a buffoon. Your choice.

You need to be reported to Ethics, as working a 2nd job while at work with Verizon is against the Code of Conduct

Yep. Coming into the office where zero non-work related activity ever happens. I've never experienced one moment in any office where workers engage in idle chit chat.

You've got the whole world figured out, don't you?
