I'm far more productive at home. So hard to work in the office when people are just chatting away doing nothing and it smells like stinky feet. I only come to the office for the food that's it otherwise it's a waste of time and gas. Going to the office is bad for me and the environment. Don't like having to risk my life every time driving to the office.

My most productive days are the days in which I do not commute.

Work just as hard on Fridays at home as the rest of the time. Now excuse me as I binge Severance.

That's the problem with sarcasm commenter. Some people just don't get it.

@az+1jn70cbrd - Drinking everyday seems to be a reflection on the state of corporate Murica. Job is so bad, you have to have that escape every day.

It is so hard to decide if you upvote or downvote the more subtle jokes!!
As a non PL, I get Tuesday and Friday from home. Tuesday is my most productive day of the week. Nearly everyone is working (M and F being popular PTO days), I can start immediately/early when I get up (no commute), I can get coffee/water without being obligated to chat with others in the breakroom, I can use the RR on mute on long meetings, and I can bring my laptop to the kitchen while cooking lunch.
On Fridays I suppose I am "less" productive than any other day. But that was also the case when I worked from the office 5 days a week. Rolling in late, long lunches, leaving early for HHs... was the norm in my decade+ at this company on a Friday - for most people. I don't think that is a bad thing; if you want to build relationship bonding and culture and let people balance (be it salary associates who work over 40 hours or hourly associates who work OT) their work/life balance, this is what is needed.
When I get to WFH on Fridays though, I still: start immediately and early when I get up (no commute), I can get coffee/water without being obligated to chat with others in the breakroom, I can use the RR on mute on long meetings, and I can bring my laptop to the kitchen while cooking lunch. I might not do as much with things like PowerPoint and excel as I would earlier in the week. But I don't think it is the WFH on a Friday that does it; it's that it is Friday and I am burnt out and I would do nearly the same thing from the office; burn the last half of the day to get to the weekend.
Anyone can "jiggle the mouse" no matter their location. Anyone can "look busy" and not do a thing. Location does not matter.

Everyone is more productive and collaborative in the office. WFH will permit foreigners to do the same thing from a cubicle in Mumbai or New Delhi or Manila. WFH has proven and RTO will be brief now that you are replaceable and too expensive. AI will fix any gaps. Thank you, come again! SU-KAS!

100% my most productive day. Start early, get thru a few calls and then catch up on all the stuff I put off during the week due to meetings. Enjoy the weekend, start Monday caught up. It's perfect. Only downside is I lose track of time and the wife has to remind me to eat dinner!

More time to drink when at home on Fridays. More manageable. Sums up RTO objections M-F. Used to start on Thursdays now they drink every day

We who work from home...often work much more than is expected.

100% this! Optimal environment for focus and concentration, plus zero commute. You literally have to force yourself to stop working when you work from home.
