RTO does not impact remote workers living more than an hour away from an office.
RTO does impact remote workers living within an hour of an office.
Well you were wrong
Heard something similar regarding managers having to RTO 5 days. It will be staggered and impacts all people managers.
My manager told me today SLT in RR are to go back 5x a week starting Monday. Everyone else in RR 5x/week March 1. Hopkington Apr 1. Not sure about other locations, but it is coming.
Flexible means you won't be in the office 8.30 to 5 and can leave for school pickups if needed
"5 days RTO flexible" What does flexible mean if you're required to be in five days a week? Flexible on the hours?
It's coming next week. 5 days RTO flexible for everyone, remotes have to relocate. It's being kept quiet but this is what will be announced next week
Is there an office in nova scotia???
I realize this is a rumor site but sometimes where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Something is going down because all of the managers I know have been in meetings all day every day this week so far. I heard they were trying to do ‘damage control’ over this news getting out early. So far the same answer from the managers here is “Dell has not released an official statement on RTO”
isa
@ay+1jjrmq0c1 What’s your division?
SVP told our division RTO is coming, but the timing is not determined yet. It seems to only affect Hybrid.
Dell messed up here.
In an attempt to preserve their jobs low performers flocked to in office.
So now dell is squeezing hybrids even harder in hopes of some will quit.
make no mistake the future does no bode well for remotes either. Its just hybrid has more pi-ples to pop for dell for the time being
"That makes no sense and is wrong."
How do you know it's wrong ?
Yes you have no future with dell as a remote, that doesnt mean you can't knock another few years out of it as remote to increase severance
c'mon man. At least give a clue as to location/team who has been told this. Otherwise its just more pie in the sky
If this is true, it’s not over by a long shot. Remotes are now second class citizens. Be prepared to be back filled by an in office one rank lower than you, performance-managed out, lower raises and bonus. Even if remotes “win” this pending change, the long term trajectory is obvious.
That makes no sense and is wrong.
looks like remotes won the war
