@qiv It’s not a tiny little side project. We have to take 2+ hours every f—ing year to do conscious culture and red/orange/yellow situations for every blessed snowflake in the company. Don’t give me that nonsense. I’m so sick of DEI, I could pu-e. How about we treat people well as the COBC says we should. I don’t need this extra cr-p.

We value our employees
you mean our cattle , right ?
It is all about shitholders. pardon, shareholders
They don't have time for you to realign they want their ROI now so you unworthy POS have to leave the company so we can improve our bottom line and make the stock look good till the next self induced disaster

You know what real leadership would be? Saying "we're realigning to new areas and will train existing employees in these new areas so we can shift them internally. We value our employees and will use our cash to continue to invest in them as needed to support the company's moves into new areas." LRs at Cisco are thinly veiled attempts to reduce OpEx to appease Wall street. Call a layoff an layoff like the rest of tech does.

I guess you pulled those dates out of your rear, there is nothing in our calendars for Aug 14. I guess the date is TBD.

You guys put way too much emphasis on DEI. It’s a tiny little side project to look good to customers and the street. And Cisco intentionally “leaked” this to signal the market. Don’t be d-mb.

DEI hires are protected, as they serve a legal purpose to insulate the ELT.

@axw+1tVQlc0r now everyone is just afraid of semi-annual LRs constantly, so people are afraid to make any sort of financial decisions twice a year

have fun in Vegas if you make it!

even if you have your tix HR has a great process to cancel them!

the "number one place to work" canned me while on Aug PTO a couple years back.

Ooh, Chuck is gonna be big mad that someone leaked this. Didn't he say something condemning the leak for the Feb LR?

I miss the days when Cisco announced a LR, gave the headcount #, and provided the severance package details publicly internally 45-90 days before the event happened. It allowed employees to push off large financial decisions until they knew they were safe (for at least another year) rather than spending the money and suddenly losing your job.

It’s time to take a break and reassess our priorities and lifestyles. Nothing can break our morales, values and work ethics. Cisco who?
