Thread regarding VMware layoffs

W2 from Broadcom or VMware ?

I quit back in September and I have already received W2 from my new employer, but not from BC.
Do you think it may take a while for BC to send W2 due to ongoing re-org processes/layoffs ?

So much facepalm here.

Back to the "I was owed this by Monday morning. It is now 1AM Monday and I'm going to raise He-l".

There is a legal deadline for W2s. They have not reached that deadline. If you have not received one by that deadline then ask questions. Otherwise, what's the point?

Yep! BC HR has forwarded my request to VMware Workday team, so I am waiting.

No Broadcom payroll was paid to VMware employees in 2023. Broadcom payroll first paid VMware employees on 1/5/2024. VMWare owes you a W2, and the RSU grants etc. are included on that. Nothing technically is coming from BC, it’s all in VMware systems and VMware WD.

No, I did not get access to WD.
BC just sent me COBRA invite, which I don't need anyway.

For people still here they are in VMW workday - did you get any kind of access to that after you left? If not, they'll probably mail to address of record on Jan 30

Follow up with BC HR contact. They are legally obligated to provide that to all VMware employees.
