Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

I'm looking to leave

Boeing was usually a decent place for people who wanted job security. It was never ideal but it was good enough not to have to worry about it every day. To say that's changed is an understatement. I now stress over a possibility of a layoff 24/7. Just a few years changed things so much for this place that it's unbelievable...

Boeing is reducing its footprint in WA. It should not be a surprise to expect more jobs and more functions leaving WA and going to cheaper and more anti-union places. Unfortunately, the quality of work will go down. Come on, the avionics is now being developed in India, some of the integration work is done in India, software and engineering architecture is being done in India. Basically, the bean counters outsource and redistribute work to cheaper places climbing up the value chain. Boeing is becoming very similar to GE... I thin Boeing will merge with some other 'Aircraft' business or get government bailout to stay afloat, but ultimately, BA will fail in the long run. With the brain drain and unwillingness to retain talent, the company is doomed. I do not know when through...

What do you do, where are you located? I can make 5 grand just for referring you to some aerospace companies who have hemorrhaged engineers "cause COVID" and need to replace them. Work from Home too. I Can get $2500 just for a hands on rivet driver too. If you can't find a new job right now, that's on you. EVERYONE is hiring.

Our group is hiring. Manager keeps saying no anticipated ILO or VLO. We are over capacity due to major loss of elders during last VLOs and are now working OT.
Next round may hit Everett hard but people forget these are job classification layoffs that spill over to other sites in the puget sound when the cuts are big.

Relax, there won't be any more layoffs ????? max is grounded again 777–x orders being cut left and right 747 and 787 gone by year end.

Wait till 787 issues are fixed and 737 in storage is delivered watch it hit the fan

And to show you the reality NMA will not be build in WA state

No more layoffs???????

Think again
