Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

WFR This Week

Two 20yr+ JNPR employees within Services / Support were WFR'd, even though they were paid for by customer support contracts....definitely a move to cut higher salary employees lose.

We heard Services / Support had to take a 30% headcount cut across the board.

Any other BU's impacted this round after deal close?

@104 That's two people known that were directly impacted. The post was about seeing if any other BU's were impacted to see if the 30% was valid.

No one said that 2 == 30%.

This post is wishful thinking. 2 people let go in an organisation of thousands and that means X... dream on.

@ax 100% agree. Lucky people get WFR'ed after 10+ years in the job.

@t0 There was recent discussion regarding a legal situation at Nutanix too. Are there more than 2 pending lawsuits against boombox?

I was told that the JNPR SE leader was being sued by a former HR staff. Is that true? Where is the reference to the case?

Is HQ just getting a free pass while the rest of us scramble?

@b0 trust me you’re wrong. I have been frugal and lucky and invested wisely. Kid is in last year of school. I don’t live beyond my means and do not need Hpe or their cr-ppy 401(k), esp, bonus or anything else. The reason I’m here is because I haven’t been wfr’d yet and I haven’t found another job. I’ll milk them for whatever I can for as long as necessary.

@OP 30% seems very high (and probably not true) but there were definitely cuts in services.

My sympathy for those who were cut UNLESS LIKE ME they were wishing to be WFR’d. I am still here, at least in body but not mind or spirit. I want out of this monster known as HPE. Please can I be wfr’d.
