I hear you point and yes the semiconductor is hurting at moment. But it is definitely a red flag. Our reputation is very bad. Why would they hire a former Intel employee that failed and was involved into the absolute collapse and failure of the number one brand name semiconductor company. So that employee could bring their project and company down too?

At best they see Intel on your resume as cheap labor. They know we are all very desperate and will low ball us. Supply and demand folks. Job market is flooded with intel folk looking to bail.

Having Intel on a resume isn't the kiss of death that you think it is. The real problem is that the job market is horrible across most sectors. Companies just aren't hiring and those that are hiring are dropping wages. There will be exceptions of course but rarely. Read the full February jobs report that BLS released yesterday. There are 5.9 million people who aren't employed and aren't looking because the job market is so bad. If they were included in the unemployment numbers it would rise to around 7.5% unemployed. This also doesn't include people who are under employed either. It will likely get worse in the short term. Having a job at Intel is still far better than not having a job at all.

@bn... figure it out... the turnaround is always 2-5 years out. It has been this way for a decade. You are never going to get that carrot hanging from the stick.

Yes it’s the retirees and folks who have 10+ years that fu---d this all up. WHAT the he-l were you guys doing all this time? It sickens me when you see all this patting on the back for them and cheering their achievements. WHAT achievements?! Intel is in the toilet and it’s directly correlated to their life’s work. WTF is going on here? Is everyone talking crazy pills?? The retirees should be ashamed, not lauded.

Intel isn't ruining anyone's life. You je-ks who have been here for 10 plus years are the ones who built worthless products, can't innovate sh-t, all you do is play d-mb a-s politics and coast

Intel is here to stay, it will see very rough period for next 3-4 years but eventually it will come back, agreed though during that period lot will be at stake , many ppl will loose jobs along the way , I would say if you have finance to suppprt yourself for next 3-4 years, keep fighting here , hope leadership becomes better at intel soon, don’t trust current leaders including board

@ax I have an opportunity at QCOM, but they’re a year or two away from being in a similar predicament if they don’t make heavy in-roads in PC this year and next.

You nailed it. No one will hire us. Intel has and will ruin thousands of careers. And so many are still brain washed and don’t realize it. They will be on their own soon enough and lonely. Intel is now a red flag on your resume.

@a2 by extension, if you are UNwillingly in the company but NOT working, you aren’t responsible at all!

F^ck @a2. Almost everyone would love to leave. Understandably, no one wants to hire Intel trash. And we’re all tainted as such.

Only those people who are willingly working in the company are responsible. No one is forcing them to stick there.
