Lol... yeah, a post w/ only 740 views and 11 replies. Imagine what the actual LOA numbers are. In this sample alone, the LOA number is almost 50%!
qjw- a few posted saying they're on leave out of over 130,000 employees and you think that's why the company is failing? Try pointing the finger at the real reason the company has been failing for years. Hint- it's not the overworked, broken people who are running around the fab; not the people who are working more than 8 hrs. 5 days a week; not the people making less than $100k or even $200k a year. More like PG, DZ, CP...those who can still smile while they tell you, they have to "chop some wood" or ISP you.
So many Intel people on various leaves... No wonder it is failing. To many people on the cart and not enough people pulling.
Just on this thread alone, as of this post there's mention of 5 people currently on some type of leave in only 9 replies. But I'm sure that nobody's abusing the system.

They can do it while on leave if they wish- I have seen that done in the past
I have medical leave thru Intels STD insurance and I was let go. Said it was based on performance but I have a sneaking suspicion my leave came into the decision making process. Ofc they can’t say that but I know better

Im on fmla right now and haven't heard anything. Not sure how people are being told. This site has a lot of misinformation
I am also on bonding leave and won't hear anything until I return to work. A lot of my team got let go, so it's not looking good for me.

In my module, they said they won't officially wrap up ISP announcements for 2 weeks since one ISP candidate is on leave. I checked the calendar and we have 1 on sabbatical, 1 on bonding and 1 on bereavement.
