Thread regarding Resideo Technologies layoffs

2021

So we've made it an entire quarter without any layoffs. Do you think we've turned a corner? Because it feels like we're worse off than we were at this point last year.

With the amount of money the directors and above are getting and all the money flowing I doubt there will be layoffs....
If they really want to clean they should start with directors and VP - overpaid and bulls - masters

Received a Nest thermostat for Xmas and it rocks! Tossed my Honeywell thermostat with voice, that never worked, in the trash.

Wow. So receiving the salary you were supposed to receive is considered a big win?

@1mvw. Too true! The engineers reminder me of Doug from The State on MTV. Not happy no matter what takes place.

Typical products engineering post. The company just announced a bonus for everyone that lost money with the furlough implemented by the Nefins and De Msi earlier this year. Looks like we are closing out a very good year. Yet, you are bitter and negative. Giving the money back would have never happened under Honeywell or Nef*ins.

@awi, where did you see the projected savings numbers? We have the numbers from this year, so we could at least get a feel for the relative scale of what's coming.

@zcr - I really don't think that your information is accurate. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a lot of faith in the leadership of Resideo. I do think based on the current business and the numbers that we are going to report for the 4th quarter and year end, the layoffs will continue to minimal in the short term. I don't think any of us should get too comfortable though because they have reported projected savings from operational improvements for next year, so some of those numbers will be tied to people. I guess we just keep doing our jobs and keep our heads down.

There have been layoffs in the last quarter. They are just very quiet about it and it was smaller than what we are used to. January and Feb will more than make up for it. I have seen the lists. I have no idea how they can let this many go in just a couple of months....
