Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Toxic Managers and Employees Survive

Even after laying off 40k employees in the last couple years, toxic Managers and Employees survive. It's clear that Intel rewards those that use fear to make people work overtime for free for no reason and employees who push and snitch on co-workers for coming into work 5 minutes late. I know one toxic employee who survived the dot com crash! These roaches will eat the new hires for lunch with the venom they've concentrated in their souls. Intel has no chance, it's just a collective cult now waiting for hail bob comet to return.

I saw a toxic manager and her entire team untouched by layoffs for the last couple years and survived this last round! Those are impossible odds! Clearly favoritism is in effect.

@dp LBT won’t clean out the evil. Just look at SK, LP, RB and so on and so on and next layer below all still here and us grunts being layed off.

They really should have had managers from other BU's do the skills matrix to weed out any bias.

All laid off employees. I know we've been victims of unfairness, I am personally going to reach out to naga ( LBT is out question) on LinkedIn ( I know he may not read or respond) and highlight my experience as an employee. One person should not control your fate. Intel needs a better gauge when weeding out personnel.

I’m a toxic employee and can confirm that I’m still there. No idea why. No one else wants me to work for them.

@ag I have been let go. Wasn't a slacker, did my due diligence. Was recognized. However I didn't see eye to eye with my M. In hindsight, I should have reported his violations to HR.

When I joined Intel in Aloha back in the 486 days, we had late arrival sign in sheet. Three strikes and you risked being in the IR/BE crowd come Focal.

I always report the violations of others.

I am productive and earn my pay, and so did most of them, when not violating company policy. It's not about slackers and all the nonsense about management. It is about not being the slowest when the bear attacks.

I'm still here and they are all gone.

@a9 Recipients of awards have been let go. Can't understand how they are under skilled or underperformers? There's no rationale.
Managers making poor choices.

Troll or not, I also am shocked at who was let go, we did not clear the way of true bottom performers, we lost some good talent. I wasn't happy to see them push out anyone from my team. We did retain all the people that always say yes, We are no closer to returning to 1st principles...

Many FLM's don't even have a degree, have been around for 20+ years, are borderline ADHD, are great at micromanaging, they would retain somebody with a psychology major and weed smokers and let go of someone with a STEM degree. And its coming down to them..they are clearly intimidated by your education. If you got a long well with your manager, you are ON else OUT..Remove these toxic people first and make way for new hires!
