All these awards VH receives and yet the stock sits in the mid 40's. When Oxy is sold and she rides away with her ridiculous executive severance package, I hope all this blathering on this blog was worth it. She'll move on and you will be stuck with the steaming mess of your career to resurrect.. Good luck.

@12y I’m OK with relevant politics on this board. However if the posts read like a twelve year old wrote them, I just don’t pay attention to them. I’d say 90% of the political posts have nothing to do with the subject, and/or read like verbal vomit. That makes me really appreciate the thoughtful ones which are rare. The post you replied to belongs in the 90%.

I guess this will never be a layoff site only. It is time for this boards management to shutdown the political talk. It is old and boring and in most cases not about layoffs.
A lot on this board always complain about VH, but maybe her real goal is to not have Oxy bought out by another company. If we had not bought APC most likely we would have been bought by now. As it is with a market cap of 47 billion and 20 billion plus in debt there seems not to be anyone that wants Oxy, so at least that is good for the thousands of employees. Plus, there is a BOD that green lights her actions, so where we are today is more of strategic moves than anything else to keep Oxy going.

If Trump was as bad as you say he would of never got elected. It was not because Trump was great that he got elected, but that the Dem canidate running against him was so bad. Instead of constant complaining start working on getting a better candidate that you can support in 2028 that brings something to the table that includes commonsense and values that can get all voters on their side.

Her problem is that she supported DT. That guy is a total loser and will sink the oil industry. Just behind DT is JDV who is an understudy to his je-k boss. Then in the organization is the Texas governor who is part of the same club. When will the good citizens of the US wake up. By the way there is a no kings protest happening in October. Even if you are pro Trump please attend, it will open your eyes. If you have kids take them there and show them what a free US looks like. If this policy from Washington continues they may not be able to see it. By the way don’t confuse or mix religion with politics. It is not appropriate.

Move on, if you lost job here or lost money due to investing in this company, or whatever silly reasons you have, it can't be changed by throwing fit here every few days. I am writing all this out of worry for you and your family. GET HELP.
