Michelle Johnston has no direct reports anymore. Is she on the way out?

@bv you’re another id--t like MJ
We’re not really competing with AMD in laptops.
We’re competing with ourselves.
If you paid any attention at all to the earnings call, you’ll see that previous generation Intel products are out selling lunar lake. So LNL was a failure due to cost - which was because they chose N3 instead of N4 along with a bunch of other dvmb decisions trying to copy Apple (like integrated memory)
Try to keep up.
MBA everywhere in Intel.
The real question is: How many cycles can the leader of products division release defective products, late and still keep his/her job?
I sure hope so
@b3 Nobody buys AMD mobile, Lunar Lake is better.
Why is lunar lake so expensive vs AMD?
Somebody made the boneheaded decision to use TSMC N3 instead of the cheaper N4 like AMD.
Again, under her watch.
If she was technical at all, maybe she would have asked the right questions from the get go.
@av , I would put poor Lunar Lake sales as a direct responsibility of FSM. It is a good product that had sales throttled due to the fact that it is manufactured in TSMC fabs who dictate how many chips they can manufacture for us. Wouldn't have been the case if FSM was ready with a HVM process.
No accountability for Raptor lake failures in the field?
No accountability for for poor lunar lake sales?
LBT will show her the door.
Pat should have done so last year when these issues were evident.
You can’t damage the brand harder than Intel did when she was at the helm.
Every other tech company would have canned her already had she been there instead.
MBAs and Lawyers have ripped off and sc--wed us the world over.

Michelle Johnston Holthaus for INTEL CEO (intc)
I’ll probably get downvoted for this. I’m not some shill just a small potatoes ret ail investor.
But here it is. If you actually believe in this company as a long option for investment, an insider running the firm makes sense.
Institutional memory matters. Trusted connections matter. She know the culture, the business, and how things actually get done.
Michelle Johnston Holthaus has been at Intel for 20+ years. She’s led sales, marketing, supply chain, and the Client Computing Group, which drives most of Intel’s revenue.
She’s not some outsider brought in to “optimize” while gutting the company.
This company ships billions in product. It doesn’t need another short-term numbers guy. It needs a leader who understands the business.
RESPONSE: LMAO. Totally out of her league but thinks she's taking her shot. Pretending to be a tough leader with word salads. No DCAI experience, not technical at all. Terrible decision from Intel to have her be "CEO" of Intel product. Gelsinger had a sui-idal strategy and hyped things up too much but at least he was smart and knew how to talk to tech. Michelle has the intellectual depth of a puddle.
no direct reports... hmmm... that's typically the best sign you are done
People like her though because she can speak well as she’s sc--wing them over
Oh no!!! Seriously LBT??
Just another grifter. She is hugely responsible for our demise. But LBT needs her for a while to be the “voice of the people”. I bet the board gave MJ and Dave a massive massive retention bonus and huge options to retain them when Pat left. So the longer they stay the bigger the payout. I bet she goes at approximately the 1 year anniversary of Pat leaving.
D-mb sh-t and can’t make it up.
