@av that's not true. Only part of the ROC. NOC also got hit hard.
They got rid of NOC. Also, all of the coordinators in Brooklyn were fired. I heard the same happened across the whole footprint east and west. They were told position no longer needed and Generative AI will be replacing their jobs. What a shame 9 billion in sales every year, and the company still owes 25billion. They could of easily covered their debt. Money is going somewhere else.
Everyone making over 18 bucks an hour
The entire ROC is being let go
Anyone wearing shorts will be immediately dismissed. At least we know that.
@aa "safe", for now.
Heard from a higher up, that everyone being let go was informed this morning, so for anyone who didn't receive the termination notice, their position is safe.
Heard the number was $18 million was the target and they only got to $10 million with the VRP.
Not sure what the magic number is. I do know they did not get near the participation in the latest round of VRP so they are making it up with eliminating positions and severancing people out. In the West fiber planners and the West design have been cut and I am sure there is more to come by the end of the day. It would appear that the company is looking to go 100% contractor work force.
As many as they can to make sure their own pockets are lined. They don't care about the hands on people, only about their own friends and family that will get a bonus.
