Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Just Leave Already

Nobody is happy here but if you’re that miserable then please leave. The culture is extremely toxic but complaining daily is ruining your health and if your sc--wing coworkers/clients by doing bare minimum its only going to ruin your own credibility! Everyone (including our clients) knows about the sh*t show going on here….. so do yourself a favor and quietly plan your exit so you can enjoy work life again!

The author of this post should find a new job if their coworkers make them unhappy!! I got out, but only because I retired. The company was great at first when I worked for XP2, then FISERV bought us out and it was HE-L!!! But I had YEARS invested and only a few years to retirement, so I waited it out. As others are saying, you can't just go find a new job.

Unless you are Frankie, it's not your company so why does it matter so much to you? People choose to stay because of financial reasons even though they hate the job. Has nothing to do with you so mind your own business and do your 9 hours in office.

That statement/mentality has always p!$$³d me off since I first started into the work force. "If you don't like your job, just leave" as if anything about this country is at all friendly to not having a job. So the obvious answer is "find a new job!". Except that is often times only barely under your control. It's not like you can make a quick run down to the job store and pick up a new one on sale. It demands an alignment of needs, market forces and more all line up to land something workable.

When it can takes MONTHS to land a new job, and during that time you and your family don't have medical insurance, an income, and sometimes worse then not only does "get a new job" sound callous and uninformed, it also proves the person saying it has thoughts no deeper than the shallowest of puddles. Before you fallback to spouting those classic quips, stop and think about how stupid they might make you sound.

@a3+1jm27evhc They can see literally everything. This is not Fiserv specific or recent, so you just seem like you may be technically illiterate.

Agree, the market is too hard. I just have to stay 9hrs but I take it easy and do other coding work as a side hustle. i’m not giving fiserv more than 3hrs a day of productivity. luckily they are too d-mb to see if i’m writing code for them or my side gig.

Yeah just quit in a bad job market. You don't think that is what everyone is trying to do? Let people vent.
