Wait, what? Hawaiian shirt day on Wednesday, August 7th doesn’t move the needle for you in terms of building morale?!

Actually there are team meetings and events being planned for this month which, imo of course, looks worse. Now isn’t the time to spend money on a 2 hour meeting and a forced event after, especially since it can be done remotely. Read the room and have some empathy.

I took the CUSA early retirement end of May. That is a sign of more blood-letting to come. The company does nothing to boost morale. No team building, no company-wide travel and get togethers like they used to, no trips for sales leaders, constant reorgs, people are cranky and walking on eggshells. Not to say that Canon isn't a successful company, but they really need to stop filling key management positions with Japanese relocated to the USA and hire a US CEO and some kickass US managers who relate to US business and stop making every decision with "yes men" from Japan.

The only ones with high pay are the employees that have been at CSA for over 15 years that took lesser roles over the years and HR kept their manager pay grade. One of the posts noted that the layoffs were getting rid of all the older tenured employees, that may have been the case in CUSA, but not for most in CSA. Most of the older impacted employees were only there for less than 5 years. All the OCE employees from 15 or so years are still pulling in the cushy pay.
Managers that continue to work less and have tenure are now being promoted to directors as HR continues to stack the management org chart.
At some point Melville will get the hint that all the OCE management and the left-over management from all the consolidated dealer channels into CSA has never really completed the M&A process and fully integrated into the Canon organization. But maybe they have as it looks like the new org direction is finally taking on that final step.
At what point with all the new product announced at Drupa coming out of Japan, will the old OCE products in Europe be discontinued and all the R&D finally moved to Japan. Completing that M&A of Oce finally.

I hope all the mangers and high paid techs are laid off at CSA. That's the worst managing team I've ever seen. It all starts at the top though. They should pull the plug on CSA.

The org chart of VP's ought to be called Team Overhead. Talk about waste of payroll. And that sh-t doesn't even attract flies.

Boo hoo is right. He probably got a bonus, too, but boned the employees up their collective tu-d tunnels.

Boo hoo, CSA President gets demoted to a VP role. Poor thing, I hope he can afford to feed his family and buy a nice home on Ling Island.

It seems like some certain higher ups like Pete K. got demoted. No longer a President.

now they strip off manager titles for people who worked hard to get there to advisors and shuffling people in random groups… it sounds like they are just picking out of a hat on what to do next daily.

It’s incredible to see the org chart that stacks VPs upon VPs upon VPs etc etc etc. Wonder who is actually going to do the day to day work with all the sales and support cuts and the lack of automation.

Some CSA personnel will definitely transition to CUSA employees. CUSA simply does not know how to perform all retail based business areas at this time. CSA is over 1/2 of the current BICG business.

I’d say CSA employees have until the end of the year. They’ll do layoffs again in Q4

So does this mean everyone at CSA is getting laid off or what?
