Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

What keeps you here?

In the current situation, what motivates you to stay? I'm among those who have been looking for something else diligently, but I know there are those who have no intention to leave unless they're kicked out and I can't help but wonder why. This is not the same company it was a few years ago.

I am staying to collect my tuition reimbursement as long as I can before I try to leave for a different company. I am about to be done with my Bachelor's and start my Master's next spring. My goal is to try to last through my education (one more year), if I make it that far then my role at GW will be a nice placeholder until I find my next position. This is not a "forever" thing for me.

No reasonable person would want a career at Gainwell Technologies.

I was lied too about the position and job responsibilities as well. It was only after I took the job did that realization come into effect.

Those directly over me have little or no real experience in the technical areas I told I would be performing. Without a fact, my manager lied on his resume. Because he is totally clueless on how to manage a technical staff, and therefore does everything that can be done to keep technical resources working as mere administrative assistants.

And if we try to expand our skillsets or put what we know into use. Here comes the empty promises and gas-lighting meant to pacify us as he further corners us into a job with no future.

Don't even get me started with the A-Type personalities that create a toxic environment and create their own personal spin of bad habits exhibited by our so called leader.

This company offers a paycheck for a job. They do not offer careers.

We were all lied to.

Nothing keeps me here. I am doing the absolute bare minimum while I find another job.

Everyone, and I mean everyone working for Gainwell needs to get out before it’s too late.

I was recruited and lied to about both the position and company. No worries though, I'm looking for a new job.

I personally had no idea what I was getting into when I took a job for Gainwell. Now that I know what an unethical and fraudulent company they are I am getting out.

My guess is that this happens to most. We don’t do enough due diligence to learn that Gainwell is a garbage company ran by incompetent fools before we take the job. Then once here it is difficult to leave because finding a new job takes time and effort. From my point of view it is definitely worth the effort though to get out. Gainwell teaches a person how to be a bad employee and to hate the leaders and the company you work for. And you are contributing to fraud.

Good luck to all. I’m finished at the end of this week. It has been a terrible experience working for Gainwell. The grass is definitely greener anywhere but here.

Why would any decent person work for a fraudulent company?

I agree it is absolutely fraud.

The bigger question is why do good people continue to work for Gainwell?

Buddy Gainwell is permanently poisoned. There is no reason to give a sh-t about this company. It's literal fraud.

I personally can’t stomach staying working for Gainwell Technologies. This place is the epitome of a bad company. Zero value for the customer and zero value for me and all other employees. They only care about money. They steal money from the states no matter what the cost. The dishonesty and unethical behavior by the organization is astounding. I can’t remain part of it.

I put in my notice last week. I’ll find something. I cannot remain part of this organization any longer. I have morals and values. This company does not have morals and values. I can no longer be part of it.

The sales guy is 100% correct. It’s the Gainwell way.

What a piece of $hit company.

It’s going to be fun to watch it continue to sink.

Staying at Gainwell is being part of the problem.

Are the people staying at Gainwell desperate for a paycheck? Or are they not able to get another job?

I’m miffed at why anyone would willingly stay working for Gainwell. There simply is no upside to staying working for Gainwell Technologies.

The absolute worst part of it all is that Gainwell does NOT have the employees best interest in mind and they do NOT have the patients best interest in mind. It’s only about money. That alone should make you run far away from Gainwell.

I don’t care what they do. But it isn’t just those ex employees. It’s also current Gainwell employees. They are just as incompetent. Especially the leaders. And all that incompetence rubs off on others. The whole company is spiraling out of control. No need to go over all the reasons here again. They have been mentioned many times. The ship is sinking. It’s time to take a life boat and leave.

I’m getting out. Just accepted a new gig. Putting in my notice tomorrow.

I truly feel sorry for everyone that is staying. Especially the new hires. Anyone that does a small amount of research wouldn’t go near Gainwell.

Good bye and good luck.

What will all these career HP/Molina/DXC clowns do when Gainwell shuts down? They aren't fit to work anywhere else. Most incompetent "technical" staff EVER.

It's blatantly obvious it's the same 3-4 people posting here every day. Seething over this shithole company is not good for your health. Just have a beer or six on the clock.

I am here because individuals misrepresented the job and responsibilities attached to the position either intentionally or through mere stupidity.
At this current point in time, the job market in my region is somewhat lacking. Possibly because everyone is hiring off-shore foreign agents. Therefore enacting a redistribution of wealth from the U.S.A. to third world countries.

Sales team member - just overcommit and win the bid to get good paychecks and commissions. That keeps me going here.
Don’t care if delivery and account ops gets f—ked - not my problem. As long as we bring in new bids, Sales team will not get laid off.

Hmmm. supervisors that belittle you to other departments. You're possibly not the first individual to describe certain other individuals that do that. And I could possibly pin down the area to a certain degree of accuracy. I'll list the initials JR and certain subordinates.

Today, I actually told an individual in another department that Gainwell has a way of stripping any confidence or self-esteem you may have. But then, it could just be my department. where the managers/supervisors have a method to keep you under their thumb.

Basically the same managers/supervisors that belittle us to other other areas of the company.

I stay because - I have savings. I wont mind a WFR. I will take a sabbatical. I am still doing good work here, but I have learned over the years that no company cares about you as much as you think or hope. So I am emotionally detached from that aspect. I get paid to do work that I am good at doing. That's it.

As you get older, it becomes harder to make a unilateral move to another company unless you're executive management.

And yes, this company does discriminate against age and other factors in an indiscriminate way. In a lot of ways, it is a good ol' boy club. Which is why so many of the incompetent people are still around 20 years later and still mucking things up on a daily basis.
