@kw why would India receive any cuts? They are here to replace you.
@h6 the fact that India isn’t seeing any cuts is infuriating, and they even said so in the damn email! This is so tone deaf that I can only think they are saying “fu-k you, get out before we fire you.”
@gd Mostly engineering roles
Personally, it becones much easier to leave a company when leadership continually demoralizes its existing workforce while offering raises, incentives, and growth opportunities elsewhere instead of investing in the people who have been carrying this company.
Don't test the depth of the river by jumping in with both feet.
@at I'd be curious to know what area is that? I know sales ops folks are in panic mode.
@ap What would it actually cost you to spend two hours this week updating your LinkedIn and having one coffee chat with a recruiter? The answer is nothing. The cost of waiting could be much higher. If you choose to leave on their terms you will regret making that decision forever.
Who are you shilling for? If you're thinking of staying, you're oblivious to the fact that this is not something in your control. Own your future, don't let someone else
@ap Do your teammates and you think you’re immune to being laid off or something? They told you you’re losing your job within the next two years. There is nothing you can do to prevent what’s happening. If you care about your livelihood, then I would not recommend delaying your job search just because you don’t want to leave your teammates. This job market is only going to get worse, the cost of living is going to continue to rise, and whatever severance package they give you will run out before you find a new employer.
Myself and a few others that I know of, but probably everyone at this point.
We have people resigning left and right in my area. Managers scrambling to move people around.
No one I know of. One person left, but I think the rest of us are planning on staying.
It's hard to leave if you like your team and are enjoying what you're doing.
