Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

The South Africa operations shutdown comes to Europe?

After SA operations shutdown more EU subsidiaries (Cyprus, Greece, Ireland) will shutdown their operations as company management cares about their bonuses and their own interests.
Any thoughts on this?

@OP Seems to me that they try to keep low profile until BIG NEWS hits the market, EMEA mainly, as employees and customers expect the worst.

We're nearing year-end and the numbers have to be good. Tech in Europe is a cost factor. And Anil won't put up with any pushback from international folks on his team. Nielsen is an "indian" company now.

@e7 don’t think anything was announced in Ireland. Poster said it was at ASI in Denmark, Nielsen announced they were not bidding anymore for the ongoing ITT. Irish delegation very angry.

"US business refocus" - US sales with the business being run and controlled in India. More wealth transfer.

The Irish just found out at AIS on the evening of the first event - bit of a shock. It will all continue with last minute news like that. This is far from over with a number of markets shutting down or service withdrawals. International markets are being shuttered and consolidated into likely a very small group with hard to exit contracts for now. US business refocus.
