I’ve tried to comply with every demand and do my job responsibly and diligently. Even with the stupid, pointless RTO, which mostly seems designed just to annoy us or make us leave. This isn’t the best company in the world, and our pay and benefits aren’t great. And yet, I’m holding on for dear life. They’d probably be doing me a favor if they just kicked me out and forced me to find another job.

I wanted to think positively and give it a chance. I've been holding on but it's getting harder and harder. The only thing that was good about working here was the flexibility and hybrid schedule, and they took it away. Change can be difficult to contemplate. If remaining with the company is damaging your well-being, I would say it is time to move on. Our life stories have many chapters. Sometimes others decide when they end and sometimes we decide when it is time to write a new chapter. I do not see the chapter currently being written for us by corporate having a happy or meaningful ending. Ultimately, it is your choice until its not and you will have to live with your decision or their decision. Living YOUR best life is the most important.
I wouldn't call that a foolish decision but it's not a wise one either. I was once in your position and I did the opposite of what you're doing.
