@bg Problem is they have no idea how to measure production, that's why Sapience was introduced. They can only manage by hard numbers. Pi$$ poor managers.

I don't understand why skipping lunch or having a much shorter one and leaving early should ever be a problem especially if people are still doing things outside hours

Ridiculous if this is not allowed

The way I see it is there's nothing stopping them still using it anyway even if they say they're not

Hopefully they would measure on results instead of keystroke activity moving forward now though

If someone's keystrokes and results go down then that's a pretty straight forward conversation that they're slacking off

If their keystrokes go down but results go up. Hopefully that means no problem now moving forward

@b9 Sapience will still be used for full-time remote (yes there are many) and contractors. However, the comment that it could be re-implemented on a case by case basis. I think that sounds like it will remain on all laptops for continued use. It would not be feasible to uninstall and reinstall for those "case by case" instances.

They told us Sapience would not be used any longer. What about then checking the badge swipes? Are they still doing that?

@at - you’re the type that ruins great stuff for the rest of us. The culture is changing in a good way. Maybe you don’t want it to because you won’t have anything to complain about.

The email was so sad. We suddenly trust you, but you’d Better keep working like dogs and not make us regret trusting you. So, whatever, and thanks I guess?

10 days is not max calendar wfh, it is consecutive without making other accomodations through your manager or HR. IE - you need to take care of a family member and use r&r for two weeks and need to be out a third but can work remote, use 5 days of your 10 given the circumstance. Many teams do not allow 3 consecutive weeks off, this provides that flexibility in rare instances.

@ag Yeah, as usual, I blame poor communication on the part of management. I see why people interpreted the two weeks per year as a defined limit for plumber/snow/sick kid days. I get why people might think it is something new.

People are interpreting the section under “performance based remote work opportunity” to mean 10 days because it says two weeks per calendar year. It’s unclear if that’s a collective two weeks of total time or two full weeks at a time. Take it how you want. Details to follow apparently.

@ae ah makes sense. Probably the same guys who were confirming WFH Fridays was back. People please stop making stuff up. There is nothing in that email stating that we are capped at 10 FWA days.

@ac nope, they just lack comprehension.

People keep saying we lost FWA. I am confused in the email it didn’t say anything about getting rid of it nor being capped at 10 specifically? Am I reading a different email?

We "lost" fwa because of franks culture. Don't blame your coworkers. It would have come down regardless if everyone did it perfectly.

@a2 please don't excuse poor managment and abusive behavior by externalizing the blame onto everyone due to the actions of VERY small handful of bad actors that could've and should've been dealt with individually. We lost flexibility because frank wanted to flex and show Jami Dimon he could hang.

I think you can leave early (after 6 hrs in office) and rest day WFH

More than likely not I'm afraid. Please don't abuse this and ruin it for everyone. That's how we lost fwa in the first place.
