I'm ready. Two years ago, they would have taken me by surprise. Fast forward to today, I've been quietly quitting for a year, with an updated resume. I took two industry-standard certifications at Dell's cost and am just cruising, doing the bare minimum. I spend most of the day learning new things that I could use at a different company. The severance would be the cherry on top.
