Thomas Saueressig claims there is no plan for a P25 round of layoffs

In his Q and A currently he said the p24 is still continuing, but dodged a question about global headcount.

They are also hiring so many in India. It's just a matter of time until these new India employees are fully trained and they begin culling employees in high cost areas.

@at+1jhswdwk9 he simply avoided the question about net changes in global headcount (I.e. we know they will be hiring 10000+ new people in India, but if there's no net change to global headcount, that means for those 10k hires in India there's 10k layoffs around the globe.

So while he directly said there is no P25. He dodged the question about headcount.

@q0+1jhswdwk9 - it’s P24 for those who passed up VERPs and get clipped - they get straight severance instead of enhanced payout. That’s how they someday get to the P24 targets.

Found out today that the new consolidation meant that my role was getting doubled up. Actively applying now.

I’m from APJ CKs visit to India and promises to overhire in India, I have colleagues over there and so far this doesn’t seem to be the case and infact culling is happening as we speak. My manager has told me today that whilst there is no P25, they have been told to expect P24 to keep happening from the start of the year to mid year

I can still remember in January 2023 during Davos or other international event, CK said there is no layoffs, but what happened then!

I hate to say that, but I no longer trust anyone at board and L1 level.

This is a little confusing. The title if your post indicates that TS claimed that there is no plan for P2025, but in the body of the post it says that he dodged the question about headcount. Can you clarify this for us?

They are consolidating a lot of areas to position the company for AI-First and Suite-First strategy. This means putting the ERP at the center of everything. I can't imagine how nervous the other add-on LoB solutions are for 2025. Start looking for a second job in case HR sits you down and tells you "today is your last day... you need to hand your laptop and badge in now...while you are at it, train your cheaper replacement in India and don't slam the door on your way out!".
