After almost 30 years of working for a company that was a hot mess, all the blow hard managers that kissed each others a-s should get a wake up call and have to beg for a job at another company. I want Intel to fail. I want to see those di-ks crying in the street about how great they thought Pat was while they collect unemployment. Split the company, sell off the fab, lay-off or send out to acquisition thousands of workers, then put what is left into Intel products. Keep it small and lean.

I get where you're going OP. All the toxic BS, backstabbing climbers, decisions made without data to only add to some horrible managers' empires and not the good of Intel and the terrible leadership across the board. Plus these young d-mb tech bros thinking their sh-t doesnt stink. Let them see when they are at the end of a 30 year career. Clueless for sure. Gone is the time where anyone works for a company for that long. Not because of the employees but because of the greedy corporations and that is what Intel has become. Another greedy corporation not addressing its employees or customer needs. Only looking out for the shareholders.
It's also striking that people feel you owe the company for your livelihood. Biggest crock of BS ever. You did your job and were paid for it. Most likely a well educated professional to last that long when at any time Intel could have cut you. Stop giving so much credit to stupid corporations and start living a life. I don't want to see Intel fail per se, but I do want to see it torn apart and hurt really bad for the same reasons you mentioned and more. Sc--w them! They are getting what they deserve!

Out 100 positive things that happened for you over those 30 years because of Intel. Yeah, I did not get the wealth pat and Dave were preaching, but over 25 years did pretty well. Take a deep breath, go exercise, give your kids a hug, give your spouse a nice loving smooch and move on to the next great part of your life.

The point I was trying to make is 30 years at one company means that company provided for everything the OP has today. Financially. To ridicule that is stupid and after 30 years if you still unhappy then I'm sorry but you had a mediocre career. And don't matter if I am a G10 or not. It's like a marriage. 30 years is too long to be complaining and not taking action yourself. Good day

Where's your data, or did you skip that day at school? Look at the CPU market share data. Even during these bad times, Intel STILL has the majority (granted, not in all segments). Thus, the workforce would appear to have at least some skills! Or do you credit this all to a stellar sales team that has somehow su-kered tier 1 customers with millions of their own dollars directed towards validation and enablement of Intel (and AMD, and NVidia) products? You say the Intel workforce doesn't deserve a pat on the back. Ok, sure, I'm guessing all of the Intel products you have ever had were garbage and everyone else who has appreciated Intel products are wrong... elitist much?

The "participation trophy" phase ramped with the millennials, not the boomers or gen-xers. Seriously, look it up. Ironically about a decade ago these 30 to 40 year folks were the ones barking about the “everyone gets a trophy” culture. And now they want their trophies! For what? For the collapse of a mega American institution? The destruction of one of the top American brand names? They do need to just sit down and shut up and just be happy with the big checks they get but really didn’t deserve
Agreed. But those 30-40 year folks need to pipe down big time. They steered and were complicit in this downfall. They need to stop trying to twist the narrative. No spin guys. You work has resulted in a major company failing. There really is no way to paint this differently. And they need to realize they look extremely foolish in trying to do. Look you guys got paid so be happy about that. But if you are looking for a pat on the back and applause for you life’s work; well that work and the result doesn’t deserve it. So take your money and humbly fade away.
@az+... It is not completely their fault. Working in a toxic environment for that long is bound to have lasting impacts. It is hard to have worked 60+ hours a week in a stressful environment and then watch it all crumble. They may have been forced out before they were mentally or financially ready. Some coal miners get black lung disease and die, some tech workers become frustrated, angry, and bitter which will lead to their rapid demise. Toxic environments yield toxic results. I understand why some young people put such a high priority on having a life outside of work and prioritizing that life over work. They watched their parents burn themselves out in jobs like Intel. Life has much more to offer.
All big corporations eventually fail, just like all empires (including 🇺🇸), because humans are politically animals that are corrupt and will do anything for money and power.
It was Intel's time to collapse.

You guys were (or would have been) g10 PEs within 5 years of working at Intel right out of college, amirite?! Or wait... you're SO TALENTED that you decided to work at better companies! And even though you were probably average at these godlike, Nvidia-type companies, you were easily worth 10 Intel PEs, amirite?! Oh wait!! Like 99.9% of the posters here that trash the Intel workforce for letting life happen, there's NO WAY YOU would've let your company's leaders make such horrible decisions, amirite?! Oh that's right, dummy me!! You've got your own multi-billion dollar semiconductor companies where you're raking in so much money that you have time to dog the folks that have had their lives torn apart by events completely out of their control! But that's irrelevant because they should've known better than to work for a company that probably produced some of the parts in your daddy's old workstation that put food on YOUR table, amirite?! Okay je-k. 30 years in a single company. That tells more about toy than anything. Not like you didnt see it along the 30 years. It was not Nvidia. You clearly could not get a job anywhere else and probably never grew beyond a Grade 10 PE if you even could get there

OP, your statement “Who wants to see Intel fail - I do!” is a pretty stupid one.
You have been with Intel three decades, I have been with Intel four decades, so we both have seen some good times and some rough times, but I believe the company provided us a good standard of living through the years.
I get the frustration right now, it’s probably the worse that you and I have seen, but Intel failing would hurt so many people, not just Intel employees but other companies and those employees that are part of this industry.
I would rethink your statement because there is a lot more a stake when a company the size of Intel fails.

The management and so called technical leaders bring Intel to where it is. They certainly deserve the consequences without doubt.
Intel was arrogant telling not asking customers what they need. Alot of customers are hoping they fail behind closed doors.
Intel is doomed and already failed !! Too many people in Intel pretend to know, but do not know. If you give a quiz on the foundamentals of their group, barely 20% can pass. If you have a company with 80% F students, it is destined to FAIL. It is a FACT.
Mostly too many "pretending managers" without any knowledge. It is a culture now. Very easy to survive in Intel, as managers just sit in meetings and give WRONG directions.
