@ar we have to stop thinking like employees and think like a business. Work like everything depends on us because it will.

And, some of us that can need to step up to the plate and innovate and start companies that put Americans first. That means staying private, not being stupid and putting your code in GIT so it can be stolen and compiling/encrypting the core.

I am going in not expecting to be a million/billionaire but building something for the next generation.

If not us then who? If not now, when?

@aq sounds great in theory but how would that really happen? asking for someone who likely be RFI'd next week w/ the supposed 12/18 OI cuts..
I know how to build stuff and really enjoy doing so. Am pi---d I will be cut for an Irish associate I've been training for 3 weeks already.

@ap I hope they pick me to be RIFd. I am nervous for the change but there are options.

First, a lot of us were RIFd and we built most of this stuff - we know it. People from other companies too.

Second, the cloud makes it possible to spin up a new company quickly.

Third, RIFd means fair game … we have a right to make a living so su-k it up as we now build our own businesses.

I will never again design/innovative for this company or any other that puts Americans last.

This CFO came from Bain Capital, best known for being a rapacious private equity firm that makes its riches by stripping companies of their resources and then running them into the ground. How apt that we’re seeing him the day after gutting our retirement benefit.

I was uncomfortable by the video featuring the mom who nearly lost her baby. I'm sure UHG got permission to broadcast it after the fact, but she didn't film it for us. Her very sincere message of gratitude to specific healthcare workers is company propaganda now, and that feels gross.
