Trump "America First" doctrine will mean the forced sale of Intel fabs outside of US. The fabs in Ireland and Israel are first on the chopping block, followed by the design centers in IDC Haifa and Bangalore. its over. Panther Lake will be the last product of Intel before selling this group to another fabless company.
Congratz LBT, you ki-led Intel. Good luck everyone.

@cn and Meal Team 6 trolling your board
Intel's been going down the drain for years, but now you have a tiny Drumpf in your pants.
If you had bought the stock then, you'd be thanking me now!
IFS was always going to be broken up, with non EUV fabs sold to other foundries.
What is left is spun off and maybe even see TSMC come onboard at that point as an investor.
Softbank sees what is coming and knows to get onboard early, before the other major investors buy in.
@bq you're wasting your time, you can't teach them and you can't punish them.
@aq you NEED to understand the government is not a business. Running it like one is catastrophic for the country. It’s like trying to run a school like a department store just because they both use money. He is extremely foolish and so are his sycophants.
LBT had nothing to do with Pat’s drunken spending or BK’s clown car parade.
You people are blind if you can’t see the obviously terminal state Intel found itself in when LBT took over.
@ad The products have been falling behind competitors mostly because of Intel manufacturing. Not going completely with TSMC for 2 or 3 cycles hurt big time. It is a Catch 22 because Intel Manufacturing is the key selling point of the company. You can look at Core ver 2 and say it is weak compared to X3D, but it was also a big technological shift for Intel and a lot of resources were spent on Intel manufacturing parts that didn't pan out.
Trump and government does not want to lose the chip act money, they are afraid that Intel will waste the government money like before.
Not for Def Met team! They will continue to make 300k a year
I don't believe OP realizes the company was going to be broken up regardless.
Smart move, they were given far too much money just to perform poorly, taking a stake they have control over these braindead CEOs and parasitic board members.
@ax all he has to do is fool the brownshirts
@aq someone who bankrupts everything he touches and gets sued a bunch is not a great businessman. Dude only has money from inheritance, conning and grifting
Trump is a smart business man. Lip Bu went to him asking for more money. And, he smartly would have nudged him what does the US get by investing these billions of dollar's when you will sell the company to someone else. So he asked for stake for the money, US govt is going to put in the company just like minerals deal with Ukraine
@aj they aren't an outside entity any more.
Intel was a terminally ill patient when LBT arrived. If anything he drove it to hospice.
Sure, OK. But company operations should largely be based on private decisions and not dictated or overtly influenced by an outside entity.
Trump Inside
OP, Intel was a terminally ill patient when LBT arrived. If anything he drove it to hospice. The breakup of the company is inevitable. The government is only interested in the manufacturing technology and capacity which can be used to produce any product line from any company. Intel's product line is at best adequate and at worst weak with big holes in product offerings needed to support today's compute needs. Neither side of the company is healthy. Major change is required.
