Do we know yet? It’s so lazy, inconsiderate and damaging to not let us know on time. Some of us have job offers lined up, some are trying to put together some plans in life. We have financial losses and psychological impact from being kept in suspense with something as important as losing a freaking job. Giving heads up is too much of a normal social behavior no corporation wants to be accused of?

Wondering--reading the above--were there any cuts on 7/11?
Had the meeting, it was an announcement of org changes and promotion, no layoffs! Yay!
I await to hear the new this morning. For folks that have “meetings”. Let us all know the outcome. We will all support you and wish you the very best no matter what happens.
not true about being the only one. I was laid off before where the meeting was about 100 people and I could see all of them in the invite. I’ve also seen people get meetings with 400 people in them and they could see all of the names as well
If you get invited to a meeting, where the title of the meeting is superfluous and you are the only one required in the meeting...........start packing the pictures around your desk in a cardboard box...
how do you know it’s a “survivors call” what are the titles of these meetings?
I guess I do t know if it’s a survivor call, could be a layoff. 100 people on the call, titled “team update”.
I call BS survivor meeting invite does not show up until day of the bloodletting. They really dont have the final list of the culling til that morning in most cases. If you have a job offer in hand take it dont be a fool. Ghost this place and move on. Better to have a job in hand then be greedy and try to get severance on the way out and sc--w up your new gig in the process. Most of the time if not in your direct business unit you will hear nothing of events til word gets out on the grapevine
Unless you're actually laid off, there's no way of knowing who, what department, when etc. This company keeps everything very tight lipped. Don't believe anything until you actually hear it firsthand.
Starting to think that a lot of the people coming on here with predictions and no substance to back it up with facts ( like positions/depts/number of people etc) are current employees trying to have some fun at our expense.
@rkk+1tqd9rAH what department are you? Lay-offs on a Tuesday is unusual for Optum.
We got a call in the AM that we were being laid off and would be paid for 2 weeks. I guess that's their way of giving you notice!
Just got an invite for what looks like a survivors call tomorrow morning.
@api+1tqd9rAH - I hope you're next. Really. Most of these comments are from people who have seen this company's ugly side in many ways. You haven't been around long enough. Or if you have, you're just chugging the corporate drink, in which case - let me give you a straw until it's your turn.
I hadn't heard of the survivors calls yet... Thank you for mentioning them! And I agree with you, OP!
@api+1tqd9rAH If your are going to be rude when people are freaking out because they have families to support I sure hope you are on their hit list. There’s no excuse for the cruelty. Karma will get you!
Not the other guy, But as a leader, survivors calls can be/are held even if there aren't cuts to that particular team. Maybe a team you work with or support is cut/eliminated, the leaders have discretion to schedule a call.
Curious why they would send out invites for survivors when they haven’t sent out invites for the ones losing their jobs?
Hearing people having "survivors calls" scheduled for 7/12, so there are likely going to be at least some cuts 7/11.
