What’s up with the move the line that happened over the weekend? Over 1k employees were moved from Consumer Lending to Operations.

Yeah, if you are in the US and under Powell, look the F out. Dude is frickin evil and looks forward to the day he can get rid of all the US based non-Hudson Yards employees.

It's been in the works for a long time. It is serving related ops groups from all businesses. It shouldn't be a secret to anyone except management has not communicated it well like everything else. It impacted around 50k employees from my understanding.
We were moved from CSBB to Consumer Lending a while ago (move the line STILL not appearing in Workday) and now it looks they are changing it again. So our reporting will be incorrect in Workday for almost 1/2 a year.
Why does it take months to move the line? Isn't it supposed to be a quick change in Workday?
I think they just wanted all back office employees under the Global Operations banner. There is a town hall on 2/13 with the head of the division and Scott Powell. I’m wondering if “location strategy” is announced at that time.
Commercial has known since 2022; consumer likely same. Big new wasted layers added in at high levels.
