"Goodwill Store" 😁
That's a hilarious description! Thank you SO much for the chuckles. As November approaches, I definitely needed them.

The news that Allscripts is choosing to cut so many American employees and replace them with significantly less skilled Indians has left me with a degree of outrage and contempt for what passes as "leadership".

( Please spare me the b u t t kissing justifications typical of MBAs. )

This is really one of the better threads on this site. Lots of really good information based on actual knowledge and experience. May your next positions be genuine pluses.

Horizon and TCS. What a cluster. They really should have given TCS the joke called Horizon leadership we got from McKesson. Pompous and inept, all in one package.

Come on , no company will buy sunrise, paragon and other zombie products Allscripts owns. Cerna and Epic will take all of Allscripts customers in the next couple of years. Sunrise and paragon will end up escrowed to an India company with cash from Allscripts to save PB from contract liabilities. Check how they transferred Horizon Clinical to TCS.

Man!!! So true, it is a goodwill store. Allsit got a gift from McKesson and promptly sold part of the gift to Hyland and then ran the rest of the gift to the ground Paragone! So sad,

Is someone posting here that Avenel may be sold? That product was thrown out the window with the bath water...some time ago :). It was given away ..no one would spend money on it. Hard to see how a hospital IT. Group going to do anything with it. Smash it into yet another over hyped portal..:) good luck to them. 2bPee. :) Another product no one needs , falls short in a long way of anything meaningful. Only press on it I have read is it given away to clients who collect c-ap:). vendors understand it is a rip and replace world now...no need to purchase anything that is Allscripts...just replace...as the client base has been doing a mass exodus for several years now...

In his ACE address, PB mentioned that EPSI is under an agreement to be sold.

Avenel has been in the works for over 4 years but havent seen any announcements of it being deployed, but is appears Northwell is all in on it from the extension press release late last year.
Paragon makes the most sense to sunset as there does not appear to be plans to enhance it and they are trying to convert those customers to Sunrise. But those customers will have the option to go to Meditech Expanse which is doing great, Cerner Community or Epic Community Connect, all of which are better and cheaper options.
Haven't seen a press release of a US based new logo Sunrise deal in close to 2 years which says everything about how the market views Sunrise and the company.

Might be a good time to sell Sunrise.

Any idea what'll happen to Paragon? It seemed like Mr. B saw a lot of profit potential in the purchase (prior to the plan to go all curry) but it's unclear what their current plans are. Other than just selling it off. Based on some posts here, AS has contractual obligations that prevent it from off-shoring entirely. But they still might. Who really knows.

Wow. Just wow. The 'leasdership' of this company is some of the most corrupt and hate-worthy I've ever worked for in 20 years. It is my hope that a such thing as Karma truly exists, and that it comes down hard on these scum bags.

@aoc+17hecxnr PracticeFusion is part of Veradigm. Is there a plan to spin it out and keep it within Allscripts if they sell off VD?

My info is old, but the plan was to sell:
CarePort (no buyers identified)
EPSI (done)
Veradigm
2bPrecise

Also planned was to sunset TouchWorks and convert all large TW customers to Sunrise ambulatory. shut down Paradigm, convert all customers to Sunrise.
Once Avenal is feature complete, they plan to shut down Pro. They didn't have a plan for PracticeFusion to go to Avenal.

As the results of the smart decision on practice fusion, PB decided to give him $50m as bonus, another $30m for his executives, and $20m for the major stock holders. Funds from employees’ paycut will compensate for the $400m fines. That is a big win to Allscripts and we should send an achievement email to all employees to thanks for their sacrifice and more contributions in the near future.

PracticeFusion.

Purchased for $100M, and paid what, another $400M in fines. It's gotta be worth at least $200M now. Look! We got doubled our purchase price!!!
