Have heard multiple reports within ISG at least of folks having 1x1 meetings put on their calendar last minute for today. Hope it’s not too large of a group this time around. 2H budgets must be tight

@e5 Just further proof that Dell's ELT is lost. You bought EMC to get into the Enterprise space and to gain control of VMware. You sold VMware and have slowly gutted the existing, high-margin, EMC products to focus on low-margin PCs and servers. Anyone else see the big deal that Pure Storage signed with Meta? In the old days, EMC would have fought tooth and nail for that deal. Dell fired the dedicated Sales folks, so what, did you expect Meta to call our 800 number to buy storage? This company is gonna be a case study in business schools in how to ruin a prosperous enterprise via greed and stupidity...

Basically the org that monitors EVERYTHING you do and what you CAN do lol.
Physical security, badge readers, badge access, what your access levels are within the company - admin rights, RSA, Fricionless Access, etc... We dictate who can get to what sites, what sites are blocked, we can see who is on the VPN - how long theyve been on it, when they logged in/logged out, etc...
Basically SRO is the org who dictates who can do what, when they can do it, how they do it, and what they can access/do.

@af I'm curious as to what part of SRO was hit. Corporate, Federal, IT, Cyber, Security, etc...? As I haven't heard of anything in SRO being affected at all.

Week after week, Dell’s leadership keeps swinging the axe. In all my years here, I have never seen such reckless and short-sighted behavior, it’s unprecedented. This isn’t leadership; it’s cowardice dressed up as strategy. The people at the top have no vision, no courage, and no respect for the employees who built this company. They’re not guiding Dell forward, they’re tearing it apart piece by piece.
@as maybe they’ll answer but this is very typical where people don’t realize there are more people in a region or topic area than their small view. Have heard sales people talk about “CSG” as if there was no product group only sales.

On the same day they send us a "record revenue" update from Michael. It hit SRO as well from rumors I'm hearing. Happy Labor day.
KD (Director) sent out an invite for all of primary storage in cork for a meeting today titled "Business Update". I didnt go to it but prior to it, rumour was that teams in Cairo were being outsourced to Cap Gemini.
I guess it will soon start coming out
