I've heard of other companies using AI-related software like teramind to monitor the productivity of employees. Does 3M do this?

They got rid of clocks because they couldn’t handle changing batteries. I don’t think they’re up to espionage level surveillance .
Yes, it's there, but because it is either A) Too expensive to subscribe to the AI analysis package, or B) HR/IT are understaffed to periodically monitor and deep dive into the big data, that it is not used until an issue is raised and then they will pull up history and data over the past few years.
I have seen things being pulled up including emails, swipe access logs, and even security camera footage during those swipe access events.
Yes. It’s there, but only used in extreme cases. If you are worried….just do your job and surf po-n on a personal device
Beetch Post ID: @amg+1oC8Admd no wonder you have stupid managers like you clown. Ask Cybersecurity team and they’ll tell you about UEBA.
I am a manager …. No. The guy puking his tiresome rhetoric has no clue and is trolling. I have had individuals on PIPS and never have had access to this type of information. If you don’t know, don’t post. It is reckless and irresponsible.
Imagine if they put that much effort into the SAP implementation instead.
The company will certainly have productivity and monitoring software installed on company assets such as your PCs and cellphones. By the way even if you own your own personal phone by permitting 3M software/apps to be installed to check your email, join teams call, etc. essentially gives 3M access to most if not all data that is in your phone. Therefore I always strongly recommend a separation of work and personal devices.
Does 3M use productivity and monitoring software "against" employees? I would say yes and no. A company of this size by default will install a package of productivity and monitoring software on all work devices, but to actually use it against employees would require cause. Obviously if you constantly visit websites you are not supposed to or you have low screen time during work hours it is likely you will get flagged and automated reports will be sent to your direct supervisor. Depending on the flag they can decide to further investigate. Once this happens there will be a investigation into you personally in which they can pull history that could be used against you if termination is required.
