Thread regarding Uniti layoffs

Are we Frontier now?

Looking at new directors and senior directors for consumer, direct, and channel for Kinetic.

6 out of 7 are an easy find on LinkedIn from Frontier.

It's shocking at how much new upper management folks are from Frontier.

Every one of these frontier/Verizon people came over with a parachute package, not needing to work, and have the goal of selling the company. They don’t care one bit about the longevity of the company or even the total profitability. Their goal is to get as many subscribers as possible, sell the company, and take another golden parachute towards retirement or doing this all over again. They don’t care about us or whether or not we have a company past merger.

Eventually all these middle managers will run out of places to scurry to and be working at your local coffee shops. As companies continue to outsource and consolidate they'll have to do something else. A resume full of acquired companies that you got the boot from cant look that good on LinkedIn lol

@fp isn’t everyone a “cast off” to outsourcing, digital automation, retail vendors, and AI? …..

Wouldn't they be frontier and verizons cast offs? The ones who didn't make the cut when they were bought?

@OP it’s obvious. A new executive leader on a mission, that is obvious (probably sell the company) yet it is confidential. So he has to surround himself with people he can trust to keep what’s going on behind the scenes confidential- especially being a public company now. No matter how much the middle management pretends they know, if they are underneath a former frontier person, they don’t know it all.

@am are you implying that the executives from Frontierland won’t take Uniti to the promised land? Why hire them then? Is it unfair to say that executive buddy system worked perfectly in this situation? I’m betting this company returns to the F500 club by the 4th of July!!

Yep and they are big mad that we don't operate exactly like Frontier. People are leaving right now with no job waiting because of how awful it is to deal with the frontier people.
