Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

The Enshitification Will Continue

They aren't going to let up.

Let the decreasing 401k match be a clue as to how RRP and Merit funding will be this year.

By decreasing the 401k match by 1%, they on average TOOK $1,000 dollars from a UHG employee making contributions. Compound that $1,000 over ten years and you're at $15,000 that the company took from you. Now do that every single year. They will keep bending us over and you're a su---r if keep giving this company anything more than 10% of your effort because they sure as heck aren't giving you anything

If your salary +RRP is $100,000, it was absolutely a $1000 pay cut. More if you make more, less if you make less.

Agree with a lot but let’s be honest. 1% employer contribution is not $1,000. The max they contributed this year was around 6800, so 1% decrease would be 68 bucks.

@ds Same. My team’s leadership kept telling us to keep our heads down and focus on our work. Ignore the fire, okay…nope.

To cut 401k contributions means they are facing serious economic issues. IRS & CMS in the building under confidential inquiry? What could it be?

@am Don't forget! GL32+ get leveled up before everyone else! The rest of us fight over the scraps.

32 = 30% bonus (+$96k RSU)
SLT = 50% bonus (+$100k-300k RSU)
ELT = 100%-200% bonus ($500k-$1m+ RSU)

Hey! The big wigs still “need” their big bonuses and raises! They don’t care about us peons doing all of the work, jobs they couldn’t perform themselves. They just keep taking and taking. The company is pitiful.

Assuming you make $60,000 and contribute 6% only over 10 years it’s an $8000 loss in growth :(

Time to leave. Companies that cut 401ks are almost always doomed. Look it up.

It just never ends here. Pathetic 🤢
I think about the career I left to be with this company and it literally makes me sick to my stomach. I got a bigger raise as a new employee at only a 3 then I did when I became a 4.
The message= YOU ARE MOT VALUED!
It's my own fault for hoping it would change
