Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

Who knows any real info about October layoffs?

Anyone have any reliable info about layoffs next week? Lots of rumors but no facts. Departments? Any truth to it?

@zs WARN notices don't need to be put up in advance if they pay you out and provide benefits as if you were employed during the legally required notice period, which is 60 days in Illinois.

Is there a WARN Notice for October layoffs? If not, probably not happening.

There definitely will be layoffs in October so they don’t have to payout the stock awards that vest November 1

Whether they are rumors or not and it seems like alot things are about to happen....why do you people work and continue to work in an environment like that. Is this the best you can get ...working at walgreens. To work like this in a company like this....pretty sad. You choose to put yourself and your family through it. But then again walgreens is the best you can get maybe. And enough of the...it's not that easy to find another job. Then just live with it and be miserable until you are canned.
