Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

I swear, half the office has already checked out mentally

People show up, smile, type a few things, but you can tell they’re already planning their next move. It feels like working in a ghost town where everyone’s just waiting for the moment they can leave. RTO only made it clearer how miserable we all are at Dell.

ability and skills to move up at Dell are gone. It doesn't matter if your customers love your the teams you support you under the current cost center who could care less about your career path.

RR1 is emptied out by 11am-12pm every day minus a handful of stragglers. The poor cooks in the cafe probably make all this food that rarely gets eaten because, why spend money at the cafe when you can eat at home for... free?

Not a single person in office wants to be there if they don't have to be. When I was going into the office a few months ago before I got a medical exemption, I'd get there at like 10am, get coffee and a breakfast taco, then attend a virtual meeting I could have done at home, do a little work. Then I'd go back home. So essentially I was there for no more than 90 minutes. I mean, it's not like any of my team worked there so who tf am I supposed to "collaborate" with? The sales people?

@am Former NGSA kid here. You'd be surprised the amount of heavy gaslighting our management does. You'd think NGSA was the place to be with how much propaganda they spew (on par with North Korea)

I saw the writing on the wall soon as I got promoted to iDCSE. Made my exit (as did MANY others), and I couldn't be happier

You are just realizing this now?!? At this point this is just a job for most people. It used to be a career. Interesting, motivating, innovating. Now it’s like stocking shelves at Home Depot.

Even the NGSA kids morale is in the toilet. This company is toast.
