@ak RIFS have been ongoing in US since 2016 and only made headlines this last time. They wont make headlines unless its gigantic. Verizon strategy is usually just chip away small 1-5% a few times a year.

End of the day, does it really matter? VZ is in riff-mode if who hadn't noticed, and there is no end in sight.

Round 1 was to secure capital to address the change in direction to customer focus.
Round 2 is presumably for AI funding and trim the fat and muscle from the FTR acquisition.
Round 3 and beyond - probably more AI excuses.

In any case, stop complaining and guessing - step it up!

Food for thought>>>>
Be prepared - professionally and personally.
Get the training and certs (AI or whatever skills you want).
Get your resume up to date, AI proof it so the AI-bots don't automatically deny it (Yes that is a thing now)
Actively look around, in and out of the company, to see what your options are.

RIFs are ongoing in Europe but they are not making headlines (yet). They are more gradual because every country has somewhat different legislation, nevertheless they are brutal in relative numbers, e.g. 50%. Many employees are expected to exit in May and June. In some countries July and August are usually uneventful because people take long holidays and that can work as a protective shield.
