Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

The art of deceptions is the key to survival.

It is any wonder why TD is struggling to sell when it likens to famous personalities. It lacks the creativity of TV designer Linda even when trying to dress up the truth. Lacks the elegance and humbleness of Sue on a tennis court. It's more likened to the selling skills of Albert Arkwright (Ronnie) in Open All Hours and determined to bag it's own drums like drummers Jay and Nicholas. Just barking up the wrong tree!

@46c How would you know that, buddy? You must be really connected. How impressive.

@10b what are you talking about? SM isn't on this board buddy

This was true up until recently. I left right before the toxic (Antares) leadership turned over so I don't know the new Product leader, but downstream I hear there's positive momentum. Maybe they'll turn a corner.

so vintage HR is sm, SAD. The art of deception is key to survival indeed. No wonder Q4 service deal in EMEA is questionable. When the leaders are playing peek-a-boo on this site, paid stooges would watch 70's sitcom.

@rx and what exactly is planned, RIF is already executed for this year

With what’s being planned in the next few weeks, I would be surprised if the individual survives.

@q9 If you really think that I am SM just because I insinuated that TD is healthy (which it is) then I'm not sure how I can help you. If you thinking I am SM is somehow cathartic to you by all means you can believe that

Shouldn’t vantage be called Vintage?

@cz I don't believe you sorry. Steve mcmillan, Your attempt to mimic the style of vantage engineer in the trench is pathetic. Cannot do your day job. Failed to copy the writing style of an anonymous individual. You are such crybaby that the board wont fire you and investors wont ask you a loaded question. Winning in the marketplace? Seriously?

@bd I'm the vantage guy and I'm not sure what OP is on or who he's complaining about. TD has plenty of F500 so I wouldn't say we're struggling to sell

The email for ethics/compliance is public information. Seriously though, HR and compliance will not find anything after due dilligence, you know that. So this is happening in EMEA for sure. That's why the post and replies were not making sense. Typing from the wrong side of the pond.

If you lost access to internal sites, by choice or not, I am sorry. Two years a long time. You cannot keep seeking answer forever. There will always be a s-b who does not pull their weight. Let it go, feel better.

@bd just wait until one of the biggest deals in EMEA is not delivered in Q4 as promised because of the self preservation to hide the incompetence of certain individuals. It will all become self explanatory.

For far too long, certain individuals have survived not through competence but through good fortune. Attacking others for lack of sales is not justification for their incompetence. If global HR want to further investigate ‘sickness gate’ please respond with an email address, I’d be more than happy to share further details.

Just wait for the vantage engineer to comment that there is 0% chance ... and downvote we go.

@b1 Interesting but not surprising comment from someone who has always thought about self preservation through deception.

Sometimes you have to be in the right place at the right time and I know of many ex- colleagues and one in particular at a previous company that manipulated situations to avoid working on not only on challenging accounts but also AE’s they did not want to work with. Their success was through luck rather than judgement but it’s not about the past, it should be about securing the future of fellow TD employees.

This is where it’s clear, my concern is for the future of good honest people at TD and it looks like , unsurprisingly, yours is all about self preservation. People should do their jobs with integrity, honesty and selflessness.

I’d be more focused on ensuring delivering on commitments for Q4 rather than personal attacks based on presumptions. Integrity is proven through honesty and actions. I guess that really doesn’t matter to some people, especially if it means survival at all costs.

If I was selling at TD, I’d try to focus on ‘banking’ on what I’ve committed to in Q4 otherwise many many lives will be impacted. That’s where you and I are different. Your problem, not mine.

You are the most pathetic person I’ve ever met. You got fired 2 years ago because you got 0 deals in and offered no value. You need to get over this

@ak I wouldn’t worry about who’s put this post up. Any person with a self conscience would focus on Q4 and those hard working TD employees and families that are depending on projected deals that have been promised with such confidence to be delivered. Future and livelihood of families with children that may have put trust in promises by sales people (like you, assuming you are sales and can sell).

I guess it would take a conscience to even think beyond self preservation.

Let me share a little story, I once worked at a organisation where a fellow employee failed to register as sick leave for years. They felt they were untouchable..reality caught up and they were fired for breach of contract.

The lesson is, there is always someone watching and the past always catches up with you.

On that note, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I assume this post is coming from an EM that sold nothing and left nearly 2 years ago and has nothing to do with his team. You should really get a life
