I am an IC... So, I got a Mgr, AD, Dir, Sr Dir, and AVP above me - all of this before we even start to think about Band 4. They are just managing, no real work is bein done by them. they 'align th8ngs', collect status, communicate, ensure buy-in, collab... aside from the mgr nobody has clue what's going on on the ground. they rotate. they make decisions w/out understanding implications. they will drop acronyms and names but really, they do not know what they are talking about, total kabuki. nothing would happen if we were to cut this 50% or more. thats where the fat is.

Times are changing. Dan is a doer. He will rid us of those who aren't. He is off to a good start.
Worker's salaries would be up to pardon if there were less supervisors, managers, directors.

Umm like I’m a doer like you. I’m sitting hear on wonna my many f_m_l leaves peruzzing the same thoughts. Use gotta take yo hands off to all the doers and not these managerial peoples whose doing nuttin all day but drinks finer wines and use the turlett with pinkies out. Like who needz people to do managerial stuff like cash flowz, legal stuff, buying stuff to builds things, giving us pay cheks and that kinda stuff. Powa to the doers!

We reward leaders that bloat their teams with chaos, confusion, and burnout with promotions. Surely your sr director is on the right path for one too!
There should only be Team Leads and an VP. Everything in between needs to be cut.

@a7 wrong. these goofy leadership people are the same ones setting up excessive non-work related events that employees are required to go to during work time. they also reprimand employees who have any sort of standard that influences teammates to work for the betterment of the company’s performance and manipulate situations so that low performers have the most influence. my theory is it boosts their pulse survey scores because most of the team has people willing to mail it in at work.
VZ certainly can be streamlined a bit but ( and I say this with respect ) you have no idea what any of these people do.

same as the OP. my finance team has the same number of layers, and it slows the prior processes we had. the S/D is unconfident, vocal about wanting a promotion for their own self, and constantly in the way. The moment HR introduced the new titles for level up, our team became toxic. leaders booking travel for entertainment instead of business reasons. leaders traveling in from 2 hours away from their assigned office- it makes no sense. save us Dan! fire Tony Skiadas and his corrupt team!!!! give me severance pleeeease!
