3 days in the office didn’t improve productivity or decrease recalls so they went to 4.

That’s not working so they’re going to 5.

That won’t help so they’ll demand you live onsite.

If the job market tightens up for employers and they have to compete, working remotely will be back.

The number 1 reason will be cost.

RTO costs both the employer and the employee. Figure that getting ready for work and commuting adds an extra 10 hours of an employee’s time that is dedicated to work. And if there are children or elderly parents to care for, there will be even higher costs. Someone has to pay for that. If competition for employees increases, it will be the companies that pay.

@aj if only

@7 we would be foolish to think what we did for a century works for today. Working from home proves we are productive and other companies have a culture of WFH keeps employees happy so they have decided to stay that way. How can we be expected to innovate when are moving back to the way we go to business for a century? That doesn’t correlate. Old school thinking in an age of technology.
