There has been some chatter that layoffs might be Mon/Tues/Wed next week given the sheer size of the layoffs so just remember this does not define you nor is this your fault. Sending positive vibes and thoughts to everyone.

Thanks but luck will have nothing to do with it.
Bye Caribbean remote workers. You can no longer hide below the radar. Such a shady bunch.
I suspect all the critical/negative posts are one really bored person against a bunch of positives. There are 18000 of us, so just a drop in an ocean on what I’m sure are a lot of great folks, because the many successes of the company are not an accident or the result of any executive decision. Best of luck to all, but if it doesn’t work out, your positivity will shine through wherever you interview.
Toxic positivity is a real thing. Degrading someone who is struggling’s experience is gross. Glad that you are able to have an outlet for what is a very real traumatic experience that everyone is going through, but please read the room. Some folks are going to have a harder time than others.
Three days of layoffs sounds miserable. I hope that’s not the case. Some meetings I had on Wednesday were moved to other days and some higher ups whose calendars would normally be really busy on Wednesdays are also looking pretty sparse so we will see. The waiting su-ks.
As a neutral just chiming in to say that wishing struggle upon someone who did not wish that upon you (or anyone) in this environment is pretty disgusting and you ought to do better than express your disagreement in such a low blow.
The people talking about going to spa days and hitting the golf course and enjoying wine tasting are not the ones who have to worry about layoffs. They’re the ones who come from well off families who have cushions to fall back on if they lose their jobs. The rest of us normal people actually need these jobs to survive. I think people calling them out are valid.
@em the upper class is so out of touch with reality.
Well I'm interrupting a Napa wine tasting weekend to disagree with the negative comments.
@a9 You’re so out of touch. People can barely afford rent or to put food on their tables and here you are gloating that you’re having a nice private quiet spa day? Get a grip on reality and check your privilege.
@aw Correlation? Are you d-mb or something?
@aq Go grab a beer with friends or whatever you can do/afford, dork. Do what’s good for YOU—that’s perspective.
@a9 Enjoy your spa day! Think I'll hit the golf course. #staypositive
@a9 Must be nice to have a spa day and not have to worry about the bills.
@ap I'm allowed to point out that not everyone’s reality matches the spa day lifestyle right now. I'm worried about rent...not mud masks. That’s not negativity, it’s perspective. We’re all dealing with this differently...and last I checked, “stay positive” doesn’t pay bills. Some of us are trying to figure out how to stay afloat, not just positive. Chill with the “stay positive” sermons.
@an and you don't know what spa day person is going through... Keep your negativity to yourself
@am kindly stfu troll. You don’t know what I’m going through.
@aj you'll be aight
@a9 pretty tone deaf to those of us who can hardly afford to keep up with daily expenses, let alone take a spa day.
@a9 positivity can’t pay my bills
I'm taking a spa day this weekend...whatever happens... move forward with positivity
Now that would put me in a Garfield mood!
