Not been told anything, who already knows?

Scores are in and It’s 1% for me with an ‘E’ rating.

Considering my local peers are getting anywhere from 10-15%, this is a kick in the teeth.

I am stupid to think I was going to get a proper raise. FU Aramco.

In my AA we offer less than current base salary for expats and then hope they’ll join for a ~25% tax “bonus”.

Every single resume I reviewed for our current positions came from Muslims with western passports. Well if you pay peanuts.

Let's put the 6% raise in perspective. From the salaries I saw posted on this forum, Aramco is paying the same or even less than what it paid me in 2014 for the same GC. Adjusted for bench marked wage growth, that is about 2/3 of what it was back in the day. Now the company gives everyone a 6% raise and people are cheering? Really???

My question is how many people turned down Aramco's job offers in order to get the "head-in-the-sand" management team to finally give real raises? How many good people got disgusted and left? It must be have been truly epic. Never confuse desperation with generosity.

I honestly was not trying to be sarcastic re my comment on the 6% raise. I think it’s great for an E. Back in the day, I remember you would need higher rating for 6%. And it’s tax free. What’s not to like!! Here in retirement land, I’d take tax free 6% for just doing my job which is what an E is. Anyway, you don’t miss it till it’s gone. Hope all expat payrolls get similar good increases.

Results are in, mine is definitely above inflation but not a shocking or overly excessive amount.

15% for Saudis to mitigate the ‘talent’ drain to Riyadh. For expats, the usual merit increase.

It’s huge, should hear from your boss latest next week. Be wise, use it to clear any outstanding debt or to invest, just don’t go and blow it.

Wont be inflation busting if you’re an expat. It will be between 0-2% at best, which is a real terms cut. Local PDPs have 8% uplifts in my area. Enough said.
