To notify all impacted employees they have been rifed on Friday. Some leaders are being asked to do it for employees who don’t even report to them. Truly bonkers situation that shows:
1) rif number going to be huge
2) hr is useless if they can’t help out in such a scenario
3) they might as well do one large teams meeting and notify everyone in there they have Been rif

@cw they made changes at the last min. Said that they don't need our assistance this week. Sounds like some are safe, for now.

This is true. Most full time virtual clinicians and supervisors. We should have a list today. Not sure why they pretended to integrate them into Optum and teach them the EMR if they were just going to let everyone go.
@ah nope. There was manager training today on rifs. Some managers will be calling people who don’t even report to them to tell them.
@aa Moved to Friday, at least for my org. Should get an invite within the first hour or so of the day.
@ah I've never heard of everyone on one RIF call. They are usually batched or 1:1s. They never could have everyone on all time zones on one call even when they are 100 at a time.
I don't believe any of this. The RIF is one callnthat everyone joins. Why would they ask others to help with meetings. People just trying to stir the pot

Can someone please chime in. Are they sending out teams invites tomorrow to the ones affected? It looks like there are folks here who claim that they were tasked to assist with RIFs announcements.

Yes I'm a peer and get to RIF others. Fun times all around. Sorry for those impacted and those left behind. Both are no win scenarious.
I think you can only have a couple hundred on a Teams call so hard to get them all done that way too.
When staff have been laid off in the past from landmark they had one big teams meeting for those being let go so not sure why it’s an issue now.
