The people laid off (last day on) 7/15 were notified a few weeks ago and yeah it was a lot. Theres a lag between when people are notified and when it shows up in WARN numbers. Look for another big WARN drop in a few weeks when the people hit this week show up. People figured this out back during ACT and it has to do with how severance is paid and when are departure dates.

@ah. Most have been notified. We knew this large amount was coming but wasn't previously reported via WARN.

Have those people already been notified or are those updated numbers still unaware?

What a cynical PR ploy to release one number early in the week, then revise it upward by 3x on a Friday night. Integrity has gone the same way as revenue and market share.

I counted only 5 VPs, SVPs, fellows. I hope that in the coming months/weeks, these dinosaurs will get forcefully eliminated from this once-iconic American chipmaker. These people, who have been here for 2+ decades, led groups to work on BS projects, yet now are conveniently dropping the workers who were just doing what they were told to work on.
