Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

MD post on LinkedIN -- America

This was an embarassing post from our CEO.

If Dell we pro America:

We wouldn't be using parts from China or Taiwan
60% or more of our workforce wouldn't in offshore
He's pay, promote and invest in his American workers

MD is a grifter. He'll always be a grifter and will go anyway that the wind blows. He should have posted "India" or "China" instead. MD isn't for America, you or even his company. MD is out for MD.

"I’m sure the EU has a worse situation than us when it comes to outsourcing."

Not really, because most of the cheap labour jobs are often outsourced from Western to Eastern Europe (mostly in EU countries or EU-candidate countries).

France does some outsourcing (customer care and similar roles) to North African countries, since their former colonies still speak French, but we definitely don't experience any outsourcing to India (apart from UK, which isn't EU anymore).

MD is just kissing up to Trump in hopes that Dell isn't slapped with Tariffs.

@ah+1jnxynhp1 Is right. Executives just play the game to keep the money flowing no matter who is in charge.

Executives say whatever to promote their business at a given moment. Today it will be one thing, tomorrow it could be completely opposite. Just keep this in mind.

As I’ve said in a previous post a while back:

Foreigners think we are “expanding” our company to their respective countries out of a form of charity. It’s not, or at least, not entirely. It’s mainly to avoid taxes and exploit cheaper labor. When you see the ratio of US/India (for example) engineering jobs, you’ll see that it’s a very small faction. And even with that ratio, the US engineering jobs at Dell, HP, etc. are simply “architecture” in nature where you’re not doing any real engineering work but rather just be a more technical product definition type of person. It’s pathetic. I’m sure the EU has a worse situation than us when it comes to outsourcing.

If Michael was indeed pro-American, then he would only branch out to foreign countries as a means to have continuous operations of the company, 24 hours. But big tech won’t do this. They prioritize investors first and only worry about free cash flow.
